About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team based at Adelaide Airport to work on PT6 engines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy engine maintenance on gas turbine engines.
  • Work in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) documentation and airworthiness requirements.
  • Utilise ERP and maintenance worksheets to accurately record job progress.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean & tidy work area free of foreign object damage (FOD).
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
  • Actively participate as a team member to achieve team goals and deliver to the customer.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV mechanical trade qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engine.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirements.

Desirable

  • PT6 engine maintenance experience.
  • Comprehensive engine overhaul knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance work in accordance with OEM documentation.
  • Machining and general engineering knowledge an advantage.

Due to the nature of our work and the requirements of our customers, all applicants may be required to hold Australian citizenship and need to meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and/or EAR (Export Administration Regulations) compliance as part of employment eligibility. Successful applicants may also be required to undergo a current police check, obtain a Commonwealth defence security clearance, and participate in random drug and alcohol screening as part of our commitment to safety and security.
