Surf Life Saving Queensland is a volunteer-led rescue authority operating helicopter and drone aviation services for aquatic emergencies across Queensland's 8,000km coastline.

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) operates the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service, providing aerial response capability for aquatic emergencies along the Queensland coastline. The organisation also runs a State Operations Communications Centre to coordinate rescue operations and has integrated Uncrewed Aviation Australia drone education into its operational training programs. Founded in 1908, SLSQ is a volunteer-led, professionally managed not-for-profit with over 36,000 volunteer members and more than 600 employees.

The service area spans 8,000 kilometres of coastline, supported by 58 surf lifesaving clubs. SLSQ engages with more than 462,000 people through its coastal auditing and community education programs. The organisation is recognised as an employer of choice for women by Work180 and maintains a commitment to building a fair and inclusive workforce.
