About the Role

Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, the Technical Services Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the Part 145 maintenance organisation, troubleshooting defects, and assessing technical data relating to all fleet defects across our Dash 8 and Airbus aircraft. The position also supports Maintenance Watch by providing technical guidance and recommending appropriate actions to ensure disrupted aircraft are safely returned to service with minimal operational impact. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, based at our Head Office located at Cairns Airport.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the continued airworthiness, compliance and reliability of the Skytrans fleet.
• Manage technical relationships with OEMs, maintenance providers and vendors.
• Assess and coordinate aircraft modifications, repairs, Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
• Provide technical engineering support across maintenance and operational departments.
• Monitor aircraft systems, engines and life-limited components to maintain fleet performance and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate technical records, documentation and CAMO processes.

About You

• Dash 8 and A320 type courses completed (desirable).
• Dash 8 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (desirable).
• Aviation industry experience, ideally within a regional airline environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Airline Technical Programs (Aerotrac, CAMP, IAS).
• Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), or the ability to obtain one.
