About The Role

Reporting to the Responsible Manager Engineering, the Maintenance Technical Records and Planning Assistant is responsible for the oversight of technical records, review of maintenance planning and material forecast and availability for the MRO.

The position is a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week), based in our maintenance hangar at Cairns Airport.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance records.
• Assist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering activities.
• Monitor maintenance requirements and support resource, workforce, and maintenance planning activities.
• Liaise with the Part 42 Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance requirements, task card progress, and escalation of planning issues.
• Support material forecasting, parts availability, and provide administrative assistance to the Engineering and Maintenance team.

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented administrator with strong communication skills and a passion for aviation operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in administration, records management, maintenance planning, or a similar support role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
