About the Role
Casual, field-based, Australia-wide. We’re looking for a Perth-based Drone Pilot to join our field team, working on airborne geophysical survey projects across Australia and the world. This is a hands-on, real-world role — you’ll be operating UAV systems in remote and regional environments, collecting high-quality data and working alongside experienced field crews. If you enjoy flying large, long-endurance sophisticated drones, problem-solving and working outdoors, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a growing industry.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating UAVs in line with CASA requirements and company procedures
- Planning and carrying out drone survey flights
- Conducting pre-flight checks, site assessments and risk planning
- Capturing and recording high-quality survey data
- Maintaining UAV equipment and troubleshooting issues in the field
- Working in collaboration with ground geophysical field teams
- Ensuring data quality meets project requirements
Essential
- RePL sub-25kg Multirotor (and preferably, but not essential, sub-25kg VTOL)
- Experience operating drones (recreational or commercial; ArduPilot preferred)
- Strong focus on safety and risk management
- Comfortable working outdoors and in remote environments
- Able to work away for 2–3 weeks at a time
- Good team attitude and reliability
- Unrestricted manual driver’s licence
- Able to pass medical and drug & alcohol screening
Highly Regarded
- Experience in surveying, mapping or geophysics
- Mining or exploration experience
- 4WD or remote driving experience
- Mechanical or hands-on skills
- First Aid certification
