About the Role
Sick of flying your grandma’s drones around and want to fly a real, commercial UAS and see some of outback Australia? Come join our expanding team! Our company acquires high-quality airborne geophysical surveys and operates a suite of heavy-lift aircraft (up to 120kg MTOW) that can replace manned aircraft, with some machines capable of up to 6 hours endurance. Our unique aircraft include hybrid multi-copters and gas and electric helicopters, alongside DJI and other drones for LIDAR and photogrammetry.
The Ideal Candidate Would
- Have at least an RePL multi-rotor (25kg certification preferred)
- Be well versed in ArduPilot-based autopilots and Mission Planner
- Hold RePL certification with 25kg endorsement (preferred)
- Be based in Perth, WA and able to leave the city for up to 3-week missions
- Be able to travel overseas (Australian work rights assessed on a case-by-case basis)
- Be able to camp out and live off the grid for remote jobs
- Have 4WD and off-roading experience
- Have a current driver’s licence
- Be fit, healthy and able to pass a company-specified medical
- Work in our office at times, helping out with maintenance when required
Even Better Would Be
- RC experience with helicopters and the ability to fly RC with no autopilot
- Having undertaken the CASA BVLOS exam
- Electronics and circuit design experience
- Engineering/mechanical experience with diesel vehicles, trailers, RC planes and helicopters
