Sourcing Specialist

About the role

This role involves identifying, evaluating, and qualifying new local and international suppliers, and developing and managing the supply base for assigned purchasing commodities. You will lead supplier selection processes for new and existing products, negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing agreements, and drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams, support new product development through strategic sourcing activities, monitor supplier performance, and contribute to supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new local and international suppliers
• Develop and manage the supply base for assigned purchasing commodities
• Lead supplier selection processes for new and existing products
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing agreements
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with company standards
• Analyze market trends and sourcing opportunities to ensure competitive advantage
• Contribute to supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation strategies

About you

• Master's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Supply Chain, Materials Engineering, or a related field
• Strong negotiation skills with proven results
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure with autonomy and limited supervision
• Solid project management and problem-solving capabilities
• Skilled in data analysis and interpretation of reports
• Proficient in report creation, progress tracking, and KPI monitoring
• First experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aviation industry
• Background in purchasing and engineering, with strong technical and commercial knowledge
• Familiarity with information systems such as LN or other ERP platforms
