Role Overview
Safran Aircraft Engines, as a long-standing partner within CFM International, is seeking an accomplished Business Development Director, to further strengthen its presence with airlines across the APAC region. This role will contribute directly to the growth, customer engagement, and global positioning of both CFM and Safran.

Main Responsibilities
1. Strategic sales leadership
- Contribute to the development of the sales strategy for a dedicated customer portfolio, in line with the commercial direction set by Safran Aircraft Engines and CFM International, and in coordination with GE Aerospace.
- Identify and qualify engine and services opportunities, and coordinate the preparation of responses to RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
- Support sales campaigns from early positioning through to contract closure. Pricing, contractual terms, approval and signature remain with the contracting entity’s authorized representatives.
2. Customer relationship development and management
- Build, develop and maintain senior-level relationships with airlines, airframers, lessors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Represent Safran and CFM in high-level customer engagements, industry events, and professional forums.
- Drive long-term customer trust and satisfaction through proactive engagement, strategic account management, and high-quality execution.
3. Internal coordination and collaboration with GE Aerospace
- Ensure strategic alignment of commercial priorities, campaign tactics, and customer positioning with GE Aerospace.
- Coordinate cross-functional internal Business Teams to support campaign execution.
- Gather and escalate customer requirements and contractual, commercial and operational issues to the relevant decision-makers for resolution.
4. Business development and continuous improvement
- Identify and pursue business opportunities beyond formal tender processes.
- Promote a value-based selling approach tailored to customer needs, market dynamics and long-term partnership potential.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Sales practices and commercial effectiveness across the Sales organization.
5. Governance and compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with Trade Compliance requirements, internal governance rules and delegations of Authority.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insight to support decision-making and adjust priorities and strategies as required.

Education and Experience
- Degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Senior aviation industry professional with at least ten years of sales, commercial, or customer-facing experience.
- Understanding aircraft engines and MRO activities would be a strong advantage.
