Australia's most reputable charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service provides 24-hour emergency, aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia. Serving South Australia and the Northern Territory, RFDS SA/NT operates 21 aircraft — 19 Pilatus PC-12s and 2 Pilatus PC-24 Medi-Jets — across bases in Alice Springs, Adelaide, Darwin and Port Augusta.
About the Opportunity
RFDS SA/NT's Line Pilots are at the forefront of aeromedical aviation, forming an integral part of a multi-disciplinary crew in an organisation that prides itself on delivering excellence in vital health care services to regional, rural and remote central Australia.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Flight Operations, you will complete flight operations for aeromedical evacuations, inter-hospital patient transfers, and healthcare personnel charter flights across the Northern Territory and South Australia — including emergency aeromedical services in the outback, charter flights for primary health care teams, and routine patient transfers.

You are reliable, responsive, self-motivated, and passionate about the RFDS SA/NT values of care, integrity, collaboration and innovation.
Essential Requirements
- CASA CPL (A)
- Current IPC (3 renewals)
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,500 hours in command
- 100 hours night flying experience
- Recent single pilot IFR (within 2 years)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Highly Regarded
- Experience operating aircraft in remote areas
- Experience flying PC-12 or PC-24 aircraft
- Knowledge of rural and remote Australia
- Experience and training in emergency retrieval practices
- Experience operating turbine engine aircraft
