RobLawMax Recruitment is partnering with a leading aviation operator in Papua New Guinea to source experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) to support expanding operations.
This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic aviation business operating across charter, medivac, and remote logistics environments in one of the most unique flying landscapes in the world.
  
About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established aviation operator delivering charter and aeromedical services across Papua New Guinea, supporting critical industries and remote communities.
Due to continued growth and operational demand, they are seeking experienced LAMEs to join their engineering team, supporting a varied and technically interesting fleet.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify line and base maintenance in accordance with regulatory and company standards

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on time

  • Troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects across mechanical (B1) and avionics (B2) systems

  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians

  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with Part 145 / MOE requirements

  • Support operational readiness across remote and regional bases

  
About You

  • CASA / ICAO recognised B1 and/or B2 LAME licence

  • Type ratings across turboprop or light jet aircraft (e.g. PT6, King Air, Dash 8, ATR or similar highly regarded)

  • Experience operating in remote, challenging or multi-base environments

  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small, high-performing team

  • Previous PNG or international expat experience advantageous

Typical LAME roles in PNG require strong capability in both line and base maintenance, leadership of small teams, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory frameworks.
