The Opportunity
Based in Adelaide or Melbourne, QinetiQ is seeking an experienced Products Management professional accountable for the technical performance of existing and future QinetiQ products within agreed budgets for the Australia Sector's Mission Support and R&D business unit, reporting to the General Manager, Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) and R&D.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Product teams developing or sustaining QinetiQ's products sold or managed through the Australian business
- Manage product, financial and supply chain activity across in-service and in-development products
- Collaborate with Sales, PMO and Chief Engineer to ensure governance, budget risk management and reporting are in place
- Interface with Finance, Supply Chain and Trade Controls to ensure alignment with corporate policy
- Work with the Australia Sector Chief Engineer, Sales Team and General Manager Aviation Operations to establish best-practice product development processes
- Lead the Products Management team, including staff working across multiple time zones
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Product Management and/or Development qualifications
- Significant knowledge of the Defence customer and procurement process
- Strong understanding of budget development, management and control
Desirable
- Knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and Technical Airworthiness
