Key Responsibilities
- Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results in accordance with procedures
- Provide necessary guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel within the scope and limitations of the certified method
- Be familiar with P&W codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods, including scope and limitations of each technique/method
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards
- Develop and manage procedures and inspection technique sheets for NDT Level 3 approval
- Support continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities
Essential Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Level 2 in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) with at least 400 hours FPI experience
- Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology
- Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment
- Ability to understand technical instructions, drawings and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Able to carry out physical tasks to lift and carry parts/fixtures with the aid of equipment & tools
- Pass a vision exam (Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12 inches) and a colour blindness test
- Willing to work night shifts and overtime on a need basis
