The Opportunity
As Maintenance Controller, you'll step into a rewarding role at the heart of aircraft operations, coordinating maintenance activities that keep Pilatus customers flying safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Director Customer Support, you will work with a passionate team of aviation professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and world-class aviation support.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Control & Continuing Airworthiness
- Ensure the continuing airworthiness of customer aircraft by overseeing all maintenance control activities and ensuring maintenance requirements are identified, planned and completed in accordance with regulatory, manufacturer and customer requirements.
- Monitor airworthiness directives, service bulletins, inspections, life-limited components, repairs, modifications and defect rectification activities to maintain aircraft safety, compliance and operational availability.
Maintenance Planning & Coordination
- Plan, coordinate and monitor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure maintenance events are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to customer operations.
- Liaise with aircraft owners, operators, approved maintenance organisations and service providers to schedule maintenance, prioritise work packages, monitor progress and ensure maintenance outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
Technical Records & Maintenance Systems Management
- Ensure aircraft maintenance records, technical documentation and maintenance management systems are accurate, complete and current.
- Oversee the administration of maintenance planning systems, maintenance forecasts and due lists, completed maintenance documentation, and records that support regulatory compliance, aircraft status reporting and audit readiness.
- Maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and quality management system requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Maintain compliance with CASA regulations, applicable legislation, approved maintenance programs and company procedures by monitoring regulatory obligations and ensuring maintenance activities are performed by appropriately authorised organisations and personnel.
- Support audits, regulatory inspections and interactions with CASA and other relevant authorities and identify and address compliance risks to maintain regulatory approval and operational integrity.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, regulators, service providers and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality maintenance control services.
- Manage the maintenance control management contract in cooperation with the aircraft owner/operator.
- Act as a trusted technical point of contact by providing maintenance advice, aircraft status updates, maintenance recommendations and timely communication regarding maintenance requirements, risks and operational impacts.
- Foster effective working relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders, including assisting with customer issue resolution and identifying opportunities to enhance aircraft performance, reliability and customer satisfaction.
Reporting, Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor aircraft maintenance performance, reliability and compliance indicators to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Prepare maintenance status reports, forecast maintenance requirements, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance control processes, systems and service delivery standards.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives, special projects and other duties reasonably required to support the operational objectives of the VP, Business Aviation
Exceptional weekend work may be required, on occasion, to support customer and aircraft operation requirements.
