About the Role

We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Balcatta to support our new electronics, power supplies and engine control products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, verify and release electronics components and sub-systems in accordance with the Product Development Process, engineering standards, customer requirements and applicable regulatory obligations
  • Perform analogue and digital electronics circuit design, including mathematical analysis and simulation
  • Undertake schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer
  • Plan and support analytical and physical design verification and validation activities, including defining test requirements, performing testing and troubleshooting, reviewing results and producing reports
  • Support component procurement by preparing technical documentation, engaging with suppliers and reviewing inspection/test data

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Electronics or Mechatronics)
  • 3+ years of significant experience in the industry
  • Demonstrated experience with circuit design and PCB layout, hardware troubleshooting and testing
  • Experience with PCB design software such as Altium, Fusion360, Eagle or similar
  • Understanding of embedded microprocessor systems such as STM32, ESP32, PIC or Arduino
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
