Aircraft Maintenance Crew Leader

Working on the KC-30A platform supporting No. 33 Squadron, you will lead an operational maintenance crew to deliver safe, compliant, and mission-ready aircraft. You will provide technical leadership, certification oversight, and supervision to ensure maintenance outcomes meet operational requirements in support of the Royal Australian Air Force. 

  • Lead and supervise an allocated maintenance crew to deliver serviceable aircraft on schedule and within budget. 

  • Perform, supervise, and certify maintenance and Independent Maintenance Inspections as a CASA/DASA B1 licence holder. 

  •  Analyse maintenance scope to identify manpower, tooling, spares, and facility requirements. 

  • Provide technical leadership and certification oversight to support critical path and operational outcomes. 

  • Mentor and develop Squadron personnel and apprentices to build capability and maintain compliance. 

  • Support Part 145 activities including deferred maintenance, risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement. 

Based at RAAF Amberley

About You:  

  • The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV1 

  • DASA KC-30A B1 Licence or CASA A330 B1 Licence holder 

  • Current Human Factors Certificate 

  • Demonstrated understanding of external technical and maintenance support networks. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in aircraft maintenance supervision 

  • Extensive experience as a transport category aircraft maintenance team lead/supervisor in Line or Base maintenance environments.
