Nautilus Aviation, based in Port Douglas, Far North Queensland, is a leading aviation operator with a reputation for excellence and an outstanding safety record. We deliver unforgettable tourism experiences and commercial helicopter services across a diverse range of industries.

With a fleet of over 40 modern piston and turbine helicopters across five operating bases, our aircraft include R44, Bell 206/206L, Bell 407, Bell 412, Bell 212, and Airbus H130 and H125.

We’re looking for the right person to join our Port Douglas team in a full-time, long-term role. This position suits someone looking to settle into a consistent role and become a valued part of a close-knit team. 

About the Role

Our Heli Crew are the face of our operation — passionate, hands-on, and ready to jump in wherever needed. This is a true all-rounder role combining reservations, customer service, and ground crew duties.

You’ll be helping create incredible experiences for our guests while keeping operations running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering a warm, professional and memorable experience to every guest

  • Handling reservations, sales enquiries, and bookings (phone, email, and walk-ins)

  • Preparing itineraries for individual and group bookings

  • Processing payments and managing booking systems

  • Coordinating daily operations to maximise efficiency (including transfers and flight schedules)

  • Leading check-ins and conducting safety briefings

  • Assisting with ground operations, including loading and unloading passengers

  • Supporting offsite events and promotional activities

  • Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge

  • Adhering to all safety procedures and CASA regulations

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a customer service role

  • Strong computer skills (experience with Take Flight or similar systems is an advantage)

  • Excellent communication and administrative skills

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items as part of day-to-day ground operations

  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays (this is essential)

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Australia

  • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
    (includes police check and drug & alcohol screening)
