Ramp / Baggage Agent - Brisbane Airport

About the Role

We are seeking Permanent Part-Time Baggage Handlers to join our team at Brisbane Airport, with a minimum commitment of 26 hours per week.

As a Baggage Handler, you’ll be right at the heart of Brisbane Airport’s fast-paced operations, helping keep aircraft moving and passengers on their way. You’ll be part of a supportive team where every shift brings something different, working behind the scenes to make sure baggage and cargo get where they need to be — safely, securely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dedicated team to achieve baggage turnaround targets for arriving and departing flights.
• Safely load and unload passenger baggage and cargo.
• Repetitively lift and handle items weighing up to 32kg.
• Follow all safety, security and operational procedures.
• Maintain a safe, secure and professional working environment at all times.
• Assist in delivering efficient airline and airport operations.

Roster Requirements

This is a 24/7 rotating roster, so flexibility is key! You’ll need to be comfortable working a range of shifts, including early starts from 3:00am, late finishes up to 1:00am, weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Additional hours may also be available during busy periods. Reliable attendance and flexibility across the roster are essential.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are:

• Reliable, motivated and safety-focused, with a strong work ethic.
• Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically capable of repetitively lifting up to 32kg.
• Hold full Australian working rights and a current Australian Driver Licence.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and meeting operational deadlines.
• Strong team players with good communication and a professional attitude.
• Willing to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and required background checks.

No aviation experience? No problem! Previous aviation or ground handling experience is highly regarded, but it’s not essential. We’re looking for enthusiastic, hardworking people with a positive attitude, a can-do mindset and a willingness to learn.

Starting $28.28 plus allowance per hour + Super.
