Whether serving our clients landside or airside, above or below the wing, our teams are agile, dedicated, and eager to help. Menzies Aviation Engineering is currently recruiting for CASA B1 licensed engineers with theB737NG, additional aircraft type ratings such as A320/A350/B787 and MAX will be an advantage. Training will be considered for the right person. 

What you’ll be doing 

We are seeking Casual Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the growing team! 

This position supports the long-term contracts that Menzies Aviation Engineering holds with international airlines and airfreight operators in Cairns. You will become part of a dedicated engineering team responsible for line maintenance, defect rectification, and AOG repairs.

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual with a positive attitude who enjoys working within a small, flexible, and friendly team environment. In return, we offer a competitive remuneration package and flexible roster arrangements.

To be eligible for this position you must

  • Hold CASA B1 / NZ-CAA License

  • Hold B737NG

  • Have exercised license privileges within the last 24 months 

  • Be able to obtain an ASIC and ADA

  • Eligible to work/ Live in Australia

  • Must be based or willing to relocate to live in the Brisbane area.

  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster (shift work)

  • Professional, approachable and warm in style with a strong attention to detail

  • The ability to work at pace and meet critical deadlines

  • Previous experience in the same or similar role for a minimum of 5 years within the aviation industry 

  • Effectively and efficiently work autonomously

  • You will be extremely flexible and happy to get down into the detail and be operational 

  • Strong ability to problem solves and deliver solution-based outcomes

  • Can anticipate needs, be agile and flexible

  • Strong stakeholder services skills

  • Effective and efficient time management skills

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail

  • Proficient ability to utilise the Microsoft Office suite
