We are currently seeking Cargo Flight Clerks, who share our values of Safety & Security, Passion, Integrity, Reliability, Innovation and Teamwork.
Suitable candidates will be required to deliver a range of Cargo services including preparing cargo documentation and airway bills based at the Melbourne Airport on a Permanent Part-Time (Min 24 hours per week - Average 30 - 35 hours per week) basis.
What you’ll be doing
Maintain a strong safety culture within the workplace driving OH&S awareness.
Work without direct supervision.
Ensure that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion or regular performance assessment reports.
Ascertain daily work schedules and allocate specific tasks to meet daily work objectives in a designated group.
Carry out various administrative functions and reporting duties, plus demonstrate good computer and communication skills.
Must demonstrate leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
Perform dangerous goods inspections.
Coordinate the movement of international and domestic freight to meet schedules.
Complete AVI check sheets and process.
Liaise with customers and suppliers.
Create invoices and reconcile banking ensuring all applicable charges are collected.
Ensure adherence to airline procedures including customs, quarantine and airport requirements.
Complete all documentation, administration and system input relating to exports and imports.
Process cash and electronic transactions.
Complete general filling and other office duties

Dangerous goods awareness and acceptance certificate.
Apply detailed understanding of customer airline systems
Apply detailed understanding of internal operating systems.
Apply detailed knowledge of import/export procedures.
