About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part Time, versatile cleaner to join the Menzies Aviation Team based at Darwin Airport. The Cleaner is responsible for performing all Aviation Cleaning functions on a shift basis, in accordance with training and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning of aircraft and corporate offices
• Waste management
• Cabin services (internal aircraft cleaning and cabin dressing)
• Following quarantine procedures
• Operational contact with client representatives, Security, Airport Owners/Operators, cargo, catering, engineering and other service providers
• Works closely with the Ramp Service teams
• Works proactively to identify and resolve any issues that may affect, delay or hamper a flight, communicating issues in a timely manner
• Administration services, including using computer skills to retrieve, print and enter flight data

Essential Requirements

• Ability to work safely and follow directions
• Dangerous Goods Awareness training (provided by Menzies)
• Valid Driver's Licence, including a valid licence for applicable tarmac vehicles
• Experience in all aspects of tarmac operations
• Sound computer skills
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with all personnel involved in Menzies operations
• Calm and controlled when working under pressure

Desirable

• Knowledge of aviation legislation
• Understanding of the role of key bodies at airports (e.g. AQIS, Customs, Immigration, Security, Airport owners/operators)
• Experience using ground-to-air radios; a Flight Radio Telephone Operator Licence would be an advantage
