About the Role

As a Community Engagement Lead, you'll be the face of LifeFlight across the Sunshine Coast region, building strong relationships with individuals, businesses, schools, community groups and supporters. You'll inspire people to connect with LifeFlight's mission, grow local support, and create opportunities that help keep crews in the air and delivering critical care.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, this is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month opportunity providing parental leave cover, working 38 hours per week. The role offers a mix of office, remote and community-based work, with regular travel throughout the region. A company vehicle is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver local community engagement initiatives and coordinate impactful fundraising events
• Develop sponsorship opportunities and identify new ways to grow LifeFlight's presence and support across the region
• Work closely with dedicated volunteers, empowering them to represent LifeFlight in their local communities

Essential Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in community engagement, fundraising, events, promotional, or similar roles
• Strong public speaking and communication skills, with confidence engaging diverse audiences
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, projects and deadlines
• Strong digital capability, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems; Salesforce experience highly regarded
• Willingness to travel throughout the region, work occasional evenings and weekends, and assist with event setup including light physical tasks
• Strong understanding of the local community and a current Queensland driver's licence
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work autonomously

• Experience contributing to fundraising strategy, planning or community development initiatives
