B2 Technician (Avionics)

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated B2 Technician (Avionics) to support our Defence PTS Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This is your chance to work with a passionate team, contribute to the safety and reliability of advanced aircraft, and help enable global flight.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on PC-21 aircraft in accordance with Pilatus/OEM approved publications and instructions
  • Accurately document and certify all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Coordinate and certify inspections, and ensure all maintenance records, release notes and certificates of conformance are complete
  • Support ADF operations including deployment as required, and assist day, evening and flight line maintenance crews to maximise aircraft safety and availability
  • Undertake Certification for Release to Service (CRS) functions and escalate issues beyond your authority to the appropriate manager
  • Assist with defect analysis, investigations and completion of defect reports
  • Provide guidance and direction to A-Level technicians and ground handlers during task execution
  • Foster a strong "Safety First" culture within the technical workforce, ensuring all OH&S/WHS requirements are met
  • Conduct limited ejection seat maintenance activities and ensure ground support equipment is serviceable
  • Carry out aircraft washing, corrosion control inspections, towing, repositioning, refuelling and flight line activities
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager on audits, technical investigations and human factors in maintenance
  • Participate in the Quality and Safety Management System and promote Jet Aviation's values in all interactions

What Will Help You Succeed

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics/Mechanical)
  • Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for civil and military aircraft maintenance (Part 145)
  • Eligibility to obtain a DASA Part 66 Licence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various schedules including deployments
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Current legal right to work in Australia and ability to attain an ADF security clearance
