About the Role
Hover UAV is seeking an experienced Remote Pilot to lead and support client RPAS programs.
This is a senior, client-facing role where you’ll provide operational leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver training and advisory services across a range of industries.
You’ll split your time between field operations, consulting, compliance oversight, and training delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Chief Remote Pilot or Senior Remote Pilot for client ReOCs
Provide operational and compliance guidance to clients
Develop and deliver RPAS training, inductions, and competency checks
Conduct flight operations, trials, and equipment evaluations
Create and maintain operational documentation (SOPs, training manuals, policies)
Create and maintain structured and scalable safety management systems for client ReOCs
Essential requirements
RePL – Multirotor (25 kg)
AROC
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CRP, Senior Pilot, or similar (civil or Defence)
Strong knowledge of CASA RPAS regulations and operational approvals
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients
Ability to multitask and manage priorities
Comfortable using software, digital tools, and operational platforms
Desirable requirements
IREX or pass in BVLOS OCTA exam
BVLOS flight experience
Experience in remote operations
Exposure to different operational taskings (eg surveying, inspection, surveillance)
Vocational training experience (e.g Cert IV Training & Assessment)
Experience with RPAS compliance software (e.g AVCRM)
