PILOT VACANCY - Horn Island
Horizon Airways is seeking an air transport pilot to assist with our operations at Horn Island, in the Torres Strait Islands. The successful applicant will be performing air transport pilot duties in one of our company Cessna 206 aircraft. All operations are currently conducted by Day under the VFR.
Horizon Airways operates satellite bases at Cloncurry, Innisfail/Cairns and Mackay. The successful applicant will be required to travel and operate from these satellite bases for periods as required depending on business needs.

The successful applicant must possess the following:
Commercial Pilot License
Minimum 250 hours flight time
Experience operating aircraft equipped with analogue flight instrumentation
The ability to work remotely and unsupervised in accordance with defined standard operating procedures
Manual drivers license

In addition, the following qualifications are desirable:
400 hours flight time
100 hours multi-engine flight time
Experience on Garmin G1000 avionics systems
Experience in any of the following aircraft types:
Cessna 172
Cessna 206
Piper PA31 Navajo
Piper PA34 Seneca
A flight instructor rating with any of the following training endorsements:
Grade 3
Grade 2
Grade 1
DFE
NVFR
MEA
IR
Night VFR Rating
Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
Remote area experience
Ability to conduct schedule 8 maintenance
