About the Role
Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across NSW/ACT and QLD, continuing an 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force. We're inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at RAAF Base Townsville as an Airfield Operator.
What You'll Do
- Maintenance and upkeep of site aerodrome and surrounding grounds.
- Provide inspection and compliance to relevant standards.
- Input into aerodrome and grounds tools used for reporting.
- Use of aerodrome delivery and inspection plans.
- Ensure work delivered aligns with Aerodrome requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate IV in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service).
- Certificate III/IV in Horticulture (desirable).
- CASA Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certification (desirable).
- CASA/DASA Endorsement – QLD / CASA/DASA Endorsement – NSW.
- Current Open Driver's licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
