About the Role
The Manager, Ramp / Ramp Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of ramp operations and aircraft turnaround activities. The role ensures safe, efficient and punctual execution of all ramp services while maintaining full compliance with operational and safety standards. The Manager, Ramp / Ramp Manager acts as the operational leader supporting the Head of Ramp and is accountable for frontline ramp performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day ramp operations across assigned terminals and aircraft stands
- Ensure safe execution of aircraft loading and unloading activities
- Oversee pushback, towing, marshalling and aircraft servicing activities
- Ensure sufficient manpower and equipment are available to meet operational demand
- Monitor aircraft turnaround performance and OTP targets
- Coordinate operational recovery plans for delayed flights
- Escalate significant operational issues to the Head of Ramp
- Lead and manage Duty Managers, Supervisors and frontline ramp teams
- Manage rostering, attendance, performance management and productivity
- Ensure compliance with ramp operating procedures and safety standards
About You
- Diploma or Degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in airport ramp operations
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a supervisory position within airport ground handling operations
- Experience managing aircraft turnaround activities, ramp safety and frontline operational teams
- Experience in a 24/7 operational environment, comfortable to work in outdoor airside environments; rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays when required; in high-noise and fast-paced operational environments
- Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain Changi Airport Airside Driving Permit (ADP) & Airport Pass
- Strong people leadership and team management skills with ability to lead a large multicultural workforce
