The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems Branch of the Aerospace Systems Division, responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft.
About the Role
The APS 6 Engineering Surveillance Officer will work under broad direction from the Platform Airworthiness Engineering Leads to support the safe and effective sustainment of the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft, within the Engineering and Logistics Unit's Engineering Governance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct reviews of engineering activities and supporting evidence
- Assess information to identify risks, gaps and areas for improvement
- Prepare clear reports, advice and recommendations for decision makers
- Work with internal stakeholders and industry partners to support practical improvements
- Contribute to compliance with Defence engineering and aviation safety requirements
Essential Requirements
- Understanding of, or motivation to develop, aviation, engineering, maintenance, quality, compliance or safety-related knowledge
- Ability to review and interpret complex information and identify risks or gaps
- Strong written communication and stakeholder relationship skills
