About CQ Rescue
CQ Rescue plays a vital role in delivering life-saving aeromedical, search and rescue, and disaster relief helicopter services across Central Queensland. For 30 years, CQ Rescue has supported communities across the region with essential helicopter rescue services. To support our 24/7 operations, we are seeking a full-time, Mackay-based Aircrew Officer with the qualifications, experience and professionalism required for complex helicopter operations.
About the Role
Based in Mackay, you will conduct aeromedical, medical transport and search and rescue helicopter operations across Central Queensland. The role requires day and night duty periods as part of a 24/7 operation. This is an opportunity to contribute to a highly respected community rescue service and use your skills in operations that make a genuine difference when people need help most.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrew Officer)
- CASR Part 67 medical certificate, Class 2
- NVIS qualified
- AW139 experience
- Experience in medical transport and search and rescue helicopter operations
Additional Requirements
- Australian citizenship, residency or approved work rights
- Physical capability to meet the manual handling requirements of the role, including aircraft equipment configuration, aircraft husbandry duties, and handling patient stretchers and medical equipment
- Ability to meet and maintain company medical and fitness assessment standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated success in a small, multi-disciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated English language proficiency to a minimum ICAO Level 4 standard
- Advanced resuscitation and first aid qualifications
- Current HUET qualification
- Current ASIC or ability to obtain one
