With a strong safety culture and a focus on operational excellence, we are seeking an experienced high-calibre aviation professional to join our leadership team as Head of Training & Checking (HoTC) for its fixed wing operations.
The Role
The Head of Training & Checking is responsible for the development, oversight, and continuous improvement of Corsaire Aviation’s training and checking system across all fixed-wing aircraft types and will play a key role in maintaining and developing operational standards ensuring all training activities comply with civil aviation regulations and are conducted to the highest standards of safety and operational proficiency.
We are seeking a strong, experienced leader who can efficiently manage a training environment, maintain and improve standards, and ensure compliance with Company requirements while developing highly capable flight crew.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the organisation’s Training and Checking System
Ensure compliance with CASA regulations and company operational manuals
Develop and implement training programs for flight crew
Conduct or supervise training, checking, and competency assessments
Maintain training records and ensure regulatory currency requirements are met
Mentor and support training and checking pilot’s and operational crew
Liaison with CASA and internal management regarding training matters
Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation
Essential Requirements
Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence (Commercial Pilot’s Licence may be considered subject to additional qualifications and experience)
Multi engine aeroplane class rating
500 hrs turbine engine
At least 6 months previous experience in a CASR Part 121/135 organisation in the position of HOFO, HOTC or Alternate
Extensive air transport operational flying experience
Strong knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain training systems and documentation
Highly Desirable
Total time 3000 hrs
Multi-engine command time 1000 hrs
C441 Flight Review and/or C500/550/560 Type Rating
Multi-engine turbine experience
Flight Instructor Rating or Examiner Rating
Multi Engine Aeroplane Class Rating Aeroplane Training Endorsement
