The Opportunity
The Simulator Technician III performs complex assignments in office, on-site, field and laboratory settings, solving a variety of complex simulator and aircraft systems problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems
- Diagnose and correct complex problems on simulators and associated systems
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks and visual alignments on all simulators
- Run and evaluate required FAA Approval Test Guide (ATG) / Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests
- Assist the Engineering Team with modifications, design changes and software enhancements
- Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications
- Train and provide technical training to other technicians
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs
Essential Requirements
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
- Minimum 5 years direct simulator experience, with at least 3 years relevant to the assigned location
- Proficiency with test equipment and software diagnostics on at least one type of simulator
- Demonstrated ability as Technical Expert on at least one major simulator system (motion, visual, aircraft systems, etc.)
