About the Role

A Courseware Developer works within a group of dedicated training professionals to develop interactive eLearning content for CAE's Defence and Security clients in Australia, working as part of a production team of developers, multimedia specialists, quality assurance personnel, web developers and subject matter experts to build learning products from one-page job aids to full e-learning courseware programs or interactive 3-D simulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop CAE managed courseware and training materials in line with standardised product processes and specifications
  • Participate in review of training content to ensure adherence to development standards and implement feedback from the development team
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and report any issues arising related to scope or schedule
  • Collaborate with colleagues in sharing expertise and performing similar or connected tasks

Essential Requirements

  • Experience or qualifications in the development of computer-based training
  • Solid experience in training development, ideally within defence or aviation industries
  • Experience with Learning Content Management Systems and authoring tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work a hybrid arrangement, minimum 3 days in the Homebush, NSW office
  • Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance — must be an Australian Citizen

Desirable

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated understanding of ADF training policies and procedures
