About the Role
Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical) Apprentice role on the Chinook Integrated Support Services program. For individuals who have completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) and are looking to gain the practical workplace experience required to complete their qualification, working on the Australian Army's fleet of CH47F helicopters.
You'll Be Exposed To
- Flightline and operational maintenance activities
- Scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Aircraft inspections and deeper maintenance servicing
- Component removal, installation and testing; fault diagnosis and rectification
- Technical documentation and airworthiness, safety and quality management systems
- Team-based maintenance operations, including deployment in support of ADF exercises
Essential Requirements
- Completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Mechanical
- Australian Citizen, eligible for NV1 security clearance (sponsored by BDA)
- Successful completion of the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) Assessment
