The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Aircraft Structural Fitters to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment and support team.

Program Overview

The AH-64E Apache program provides advanced attack helicopter capability to the Australian Defence Force, enabling precision strike, armed reconnaissance and close air support. This program sustains a critical combat capability, supports interoperability with coalition partners, and underpins Australia's land and joint operations.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Be an integral part of the Apache capability
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with OHS policies and procedures
  • Conduct aircraft structural repairs in support of routine and phase servicing requirements
  • Incorporate SPO mandated/approved Modifications, Special Technical Instructions (STIs) and Deviations as directed
  • Ensure all personnel assigned to maintenance tasks are qualified and certified IAW 1 Avn Regt trade authorisation record
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are incorporated IAW approved processes and procedures
  • Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of technicians
  • Contribute to improvements in team performance by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work

Who We're Looking For

  • Holder of an iMMA (interim Military Maintenance Authority)
  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) qualified in Aircraft Structures with a minimum of two years' current experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Structural
  • Apache Aircraft Familiarisation (CoA Provided)
  • Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience
  • Sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Sound knowledge of aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, modification and planning documentation
  • Working at Heights qualification
