The Opportunity
Join our team at BDA's Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. We're looking for a skilled, driven individual to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland, to help keep these aircraft mission ready. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands-on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault-finding on aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion
- Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations
- Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
- Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices
- Embracing a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritising the well-being of all personnel
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
- Current driver's licence
Desirable
- Previous experience working with Military aircraft
- CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence

Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA.
