Aeronautical Engineer / Aircraft Structural Integrity Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Aerospace Structural Engineer to support a world class fleet of air combat and electronic attack aircraft, the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler. As a member of our Sustainment Operation Engineering team, you will support the Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI) program which is essential in ensuring continuing airworthiness of the aircraft. The role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD.

Key Responsibilities

• Be accountable to the ASI Program Manager in supporting the ASI Program through the various phases of the Aircraft life cycle and the ASI master plan
• Monitor the aircraft structural fatigue life to ensure the aircraft are safe and reliable throughout their life
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical from a nationally accredited program
• 3+ years' experience in aircraft structural integrity (ASI) or aircraft repairs, including aircraft structures design and analysis, or engineering support to in-service aircraft operations
• Experience developing engineering artefacts within a regulated aviation environment such as the Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) environment or similar (CASA, FAA, EASA, etc.)
• Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a multi-discipline team; a proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative
• Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance (NV1)
