About the Role

BAE Systems has multiple ongoing casual and part-time opportunities for Aviation Technical Instructors to join the Aircraft Sustainment & Training team at Wagga Wagga, NSW. These roles offer flexibility to choose working hours on a month-to-month basis. You will deliver aviation and technical manager training to the Australian Defence Force as part of the Aviation Technical Training project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and deliver aviation technical training during Initial Employment Training (IET) and Post-IET
  • Supervise ADF personnel within a Simulated Working Environment
  • Provide specialist aviation technical skills, knowledge, and professional advice
  • Design, develop, and implement training solutions and documentation meeting stakeholder and operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy training records
  • Guide, mentor, and support Defence trainees and students in aviation best practice
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, government, and industry partners

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated industry experience as a qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AME) and/or Aircraft/Electrical Engineer with significant experience in Aviation Safety Regulations
  • Certificate III/IV in Aeroskills, higher qualification, or current EASA/CASA Licence (highly regarded)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or technical training instructor experience (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • White ASIC or eligibility to obtain
  • Australian Citizen (required for security clearance and ITAR)
  • Eligibility to be cleared for ITAR regulations
