About the Role
We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Avionics) to join our Hawk Lead-In Fighter program within our Aerospace organisation. As an Avionics AME, you will be responsible to the Team Leader for carrying out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms. These positions are based at RAAF Base Pearce, WA. Relocation support is provided for interstate candidates within Australia.
Core Duties
- Collaborate with the Shift Team Lead to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with operational demands
- Perform inspections, fault diagnosis and maintenance on avionic systems and components across fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft
- Ensure all tasks are carried out using authorised technical data and in compliance with BAE Systems, Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities
- Identify, report and escalate defects, maintenance issues and quality non-conformances
- Action engineering advice, maintenance deficiencies and publication amendments as directed
- Operate workshop equipment and perform maintenance tasks within delegated authority
Essential Skills
- Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, i.e. Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (mandatory)
- Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence clearance (mandatory)
- Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence military aircraft
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain one. ITAR regulations are applicable and your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability.
