About the Role
Provide Best-in-Class customer service by ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse, with a primary focus on inventory management, stock accuracy and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for the accurate receipt, booking, storage, movement, picking and dispatch of customer goods, while supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse and maintaining compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, handle, store and dispatch cargo / goods in accordance with Company procedures and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records, including the timely recording of goods received, stored and dispatched
- Undertake inventory activities including stock movements, stock checks and maintaining appropriate warehouse locations
- Pick, pack, label and palletise goods as required
- Load and off-load vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring freight is appropriately accounted for and handled
- Identify and report damaged goods, stock discrepancies or other warehouse issues
- Ensure freight is handled and screened in accordance with applicable aviation security requirements
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean and organised warehouse environment
- Respond to operational and customer queries relating to warehouse and inventory activities as required
- Liaise with the Operations team to support changing operational and customer requirements
About You
- Previous experience in warehousing, inventory, freight, logistics or a similar operational environment is preferred
- Victorian MR Licence
- Forklift Licence highly desirable
- Previous inventory or stock handling experience desirable
- Experience in manual handling and the safe handling of freight
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Familiarity with the Melbourne Airport area and logistics routes advantageous
- Understanding of relevant transport, logistics and aviation security requirements advantageous
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including ASIC / ADA Level 2
- Working knowledge of IT, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Company systems
