Aus Flight Handling is excited to expand its operations to Merimbula Airport, commencing the Rex contract in December 2026.

We are seeking up to five enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused locals to join our team, with part-time positions offering 25–30 hours per week, as well as casual opportunities.

  • Handling oversized and special baggage items.
  • Assisting with lost or damaged baggage enquiries when required.

What we're looking for

  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and safe operating practices.
  • A current driver's licence (essential).
  • Ability to operate powered and non-powered equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Well-presented and able to meet airline grooming standards.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Confident computer skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete Drug & Alcohol and Audio testing.
  • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), including passing a Federal Police background check.
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays, including Christmas.
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 5:30am and 9pm.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum shift length of four hours.
  • Availability for two weeks of paid, full-time training.
  • Reliable transport to and from Merimbula Airport.
  • Punctuality, reliability and good time management.

Previous experience in aviation, customer service and airport operations will be highly regarded.

Why join Aus Flight Handling?

  • Join a family-owned Australian aviation company.
  • Part-time opportunities offering consistent 25–30 hours per week.
