About the Role
We are looking for someone to join our growing RPAS and spatial team. Our ideal candidate is a surveyor who wants to specialise in RPAS, photogrammetry, LiDAR and digital surveying. We also welcome experienced commercial RPAS pilots who have some survey, GNSS or spatial data experience and want to develop further in this area.
This is a primarily field-focused role involving regular travel to metropolitan, regional and remote project sites. You will complete RPAS and ground-based data capture, assist with survey work, and collaborate with our processing and project teams to deliver reliable spatial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and complete commercial RPAS survey operations
- Capture aerial photogrammetry and LiDAR data
- Complete ground photogrammetry and supporting imagery
- Establish and measure ground control using RTK GNSS
- Complete topographic and other field survey tasks
- Review field data for coverage, accuracy and quality
- Maintain aircraft, sensors and field equipment
- Complete flight records and project documentation
- Coordinate with processing teams
- Work with surveyors and project teams to deliver client-ready products
- Travel regularly to regional and remote project locations
Essential Requirements
- A current CASA Remote Pilot Licence
- Commercial RPAS operating experience
- Experience in surveying, GNSS, mapping or spatial data capture
- Knowledge of flight planning, aviation safety and compliance
- Strong field planning and practical problem-solving skills
- A reliable and team-focused approach
- Clear communication and accurate documentation
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Willingness to travel and work remotely
Desirable
- A qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related field
- Experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR, RTK GNSS, ground control or topographic surveying
