Are you an experienced aviation maintenance professional with a knack for strategic planning and a passion for operational excellence? Airbus Australia Pacific is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Technical Lead to join our Darwin team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between high-level maintenance strategy and front-line execution, supporting the ARH (Aussie Tiger) platform and ensuring maintenance outcomes meet the rigorous standards of the Australian Defence Force.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Lead Aircraft Line Maintenance, you will be a key driver of the Darwin and 1st Aviation Regiment Unit Maintenance Plan (UMP), providing the technical backbone for our maintenance teams.
- Technical Leadership: lead maintenance teams to deliver contracted outcomes, focusing on availability and Rate of Effort (ROE) targets
- Planning & Enablement: maintain the Maintenance Planning Enablement Tool (MPET) and UMP
- Regulatory Compliance: champion DASR Part 145 and Part M compliance
- Stakeholder Engagement: act as a critical link between maintenance, support engineering and the customer
- Process Improvement: drive continuous improvement leveraging LEAN practices and risk-based thinking
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 5 years of technical or maintenance management experience in the aviation industry
- Extensive background in maintenance management systems, including CAMM2, and understanding of supply chain and engineering interdependencies
- A Diploma in Aeroskills or an Aviation Maintenance Licence (B or C level LAME/MAML)
- Proven ability to lead a united team, resolve service issues and empower staff
- A confident and open communicator
Other Requirements
- Must be eligible for Australian Defence Force Security Clearance
- Ability to work shift rosters as required
