EFB Management Project Leader

Job Objectives

The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Management Project Leader customizes and delivers the flight operations documents (FCOM, MEL, QRH, CCOM, WBM, AFM, etc.), the EFB performance and weight & balance loads for aircraft operators.

Responsibilities

This position will be mainly responsible for the duties related to the flight operations documentation and EFB management service activities to include, but not limited to:

• Customize flight operations manuals (Company manuals, aircraft simulation manuals, FCOM, MEL, QRH, CCOM, WBM, AFM, etc.) in line with the service agreements
• Provide engineering expertise to customize the flight operations manuals, and to support the customers in line with their local Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements
• Customize, update and deliver the Flysmart+ release (performance modules, weight and balance module, documentation modules)
• Deliver the updated package at every AIRAC cycle or off-cycle, when required
• Propose improvements for checklists and guidelines for documentation and EFB management
• Daily customer communication management (tickets, onboarding, meetings)

Perform other related duties as assigned

Professional Skills

• Bachelor degree or higher in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in flight operations engineering domain, specifically in several of the following areas:
  • EFB regulatory requirements (EASA, FAA, local CAA)
  • EFB administration (concept, standard operating procedures)
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems (MEL customization)
  • Flight operations manuals - Airbus XML schema
  • Weight and balance
  • Aircraft performance (takeoff, landing, inflight, fuel planning)
• Safety and quality mindset
• Be detail-oriented with self-validation mindset
• Good ability to handle and complete the different tasks within the same timeframe with multiple deadlines
• Good ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities
• Good ability to organize, manage and plan the production delivery on hand with teams
• Be team-orientated and willing to participate in collaborative environment
• Fast learner with good ability to learn new things
• Be able to work autonomously and without supervision
• Advanced level of English
• Experience with Performance Engineering Programs (PEP)
• Experience with Flight Planning Programs
• Experience with Airbus XML authoring tools (ADOC, FODM, Mission+ DOC Manager)
• Experience with Apple iPadOS
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM)
• Excellent computer literacy skills
• Familiarity with aviation regulations, standards and best practices
• Familiarity with airport terminal charts and flight plans
• Experience in Flight Operations engineering fields for Airbus aircraft
• Experience in Project Management Qualifications: Flysmart+ Gateway course or Flysmart+ administrator course
