About the Role

As an Aircraft Surface Finisher, you will work as part of the Richmond Maintenance team providing aerospace painting services of both composite and metallic components in support of the C-130J Hercules. You will be primarily responsible for performing painting activities while supporting operational units in industry-specific tasks, such as surface finish work on components, advanced structural repair, and aircraft or component repairs or modifications.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finisher
  • Experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred, but equivalent industry painting, component maintenance and/or manufacturing experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures
  • Good hand skills with materials and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligibility for an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance and capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening, which may include criminal history checks and drug and alcohol screening
