About the Role
As a part-time Drone Operator, you'll operate, service and maintain Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (SUAS) and communications equipment, including the PD-100 Black Hornet 3, RQ-12 Wasp, RQ-20 Puma and Skylark I-LEX platforms.
Key Duties
- Operate, service and maintain SUAS and communications equipment
- Assess airworthiness of weather and equipment before flights
- Apply aviation theory (weather, aerodynamics, flight and mission systems, airspace)
- Receive and relay battlefield intel as part of a Joint Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Support Team
Eligibility
- At least 17 years of age at entry
- Completed Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics
- Australian citizen; reasonably fit and healthy; able to obtain a security clearance
