About the Role
The Airport Systems Manager is responsible for directing the 24/7 operations, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management of critical, complex airport-specific operational technologies. This position guarantees the safe, continuous, and efficient performance of specialized passenger-handling, aircraft guidance and baggage-processing terminal systems. The role directly underpins the airport's mission to deliver uninterrupted, secure, and cost-effective terminal services.

- System Reliability & Maintenance Optimization: Drive the operations, maintenance, and reliability engineering for airport systems
- Safety, Code Compliance & Security Standards: Ensures 100% compliance with CAAP, ICAO, and international security frameworks for baggage and airside gates. Enforces strict engineering SOPs to maintain a zero-accident environment for staff and contractors.
- Financial & Contract Management: Establish and control annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Actively direct, audit, and evaluate Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and outsourced service providers to ensure maximum workmanship quality and strict adherence to SLAs.
- Leadership & Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: Execute ad-hoc technical roles, emergency response duties, and special system projects assigned by airport management to support shifting business and operational goals.
Who we need in the cockpit
- Graduate of bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably electrical, mechanical, electronics and communications engineer).
- Background in highly related technical field.
- Registered/Advanced studies/master’s degree in engineering can be beneficial.
- Licensed Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineer, additional license is advantage.
- Advanced problem-solving are necessary for addressing complex engineering challenges.
- Minimum of 7-years of experience in managing specialized systems.
- Proven experience within an international airport terminal, high-security facility, or critical infrastructure environment is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of building automation, industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sorting software, and security integration screening.
- Leadership experience: At least 5-years in a managerial or heavy supervisory capacity leading technical teams, strong background in vendor management, project management, and shift-based crisis management.
- Strong background in managing internal and external stakeholders’ relations and resolving disputes in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent analytical skills for handling numbers, data verification and utility consumption audits.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills in handling and addressing complex engineering challenges.
