I provide aerodrome safeguarding support and aeronautical studies to protect airspace from obstacle penetration, from assessment through charting, reporting, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. My work focuses on obstacle control within defined radii, OLS and height restrictions, and ETOD related data assurance. In Abu Dhabi with GAL ANS, I updated and maintained the accuracy of aeronautical charts from data origin to AIP publication, including obstacle charts, profile and plan view validation for approach procedures, and verification of magnetic variation, bearings, radials, projection, scale, and coverage. I also developed and monitored safeguarding maps for planning authorities and supported contingency development when obstacles were identified as penetrating OLS. I have built strong capability in PANS OPS based procedure and chart preparation, minimum safe altitude calculations, OCA/H and climb gradient evaluations, and quality control for aeronautical and aerodrome data. I also act as a focal point to the regulator regarding significant obstacles published in the UAE AIP, and I provide training on OLS and charting and mapping. Earlier roles included aeronautical surveying and OLS drawing production in AutoCAD, aeronautical survey reporting using WGS 84 and EGM96, and calculations for slopes, penetration, geoidal separation, and collision risk model analysis. I am comfortable working with ICAO and Annex 14 criteria, and I deliver clear technical outputs that support safe and compliant airspace operations.
