About the Role
We're Virgin Australia, and we're excited to invite you to join our diverse and inclusive Pit Crew – a warm and welcoming team of baggage handlers who play a key role in helping our flights be on time and our passengers' belongings reach their destinations safely. This role suits people who have had manual handling experience, as it's a physical role involving regularly lifting and moving bags up to 32kg each.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work as part of an airline, hands-on in the bag room and cargo hold, loading and unloading luggage and freight. You'll help with aircraft door operations and boarding stairs, safely loading pets, and operate baggage tugs, in a dynamic outdoor environment filled with variety and teamwork.
Essential Requirements
- Strength, adaptability and reliability
- Ability to excel under pressure in an ever-changing environment
- An Australian driver's licence
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Willingness to work a flexible rotating shift roster including early starts, late finishes, weekends and public holidays
