Our Business / about the Role:
United Aero Helicopters is one of Australia’s largest and diverse aviation companies with rotary and fixed-wing operations on fires, exploration, media and other utility markets.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a permanent Perth-based pilot to fill a position within our Western Australian fixed-wing team.
The role is essentially a full-time role with a combination of Perth-based and remote work. This position requires the successful applicant(s) to be based at a permanent base in regional Western Australia for a standard 14-day rotation from February to November for remote-area charter and aerial work operations, with the remainder usually based at United Aero’s Jandakot base.
We are looking for someone to commence immediately depending on level of training required but will consider all applicants regardless of available start time.
United Aero would like to engage a team-orientated and self-motivated individual with proven experience working autonomously in a similar role. You will be part of a diverse and highly experienced team providing charter and aerial work services within United Aero’s fixed-wing team.
Working closely with the Head of Flying Operations and the Operations Manager, your duties will include:
Providing professional fixed wing aviation services for our customers
Clientele and company crew transfers
Flexibility within the team environment, assisting co-workers during high workloads and or new system implementation
Provide and participate in crew and operational support roles when required
Requirements for the role:
Essential requirements:
Commercial Aeroplane Pilots Licence
1500hrs total time
Gas-turbine aeroplane endorsement and experience
100hrs C208 or similar aircraft type
Low level endorsement
Fit for work and able to pass random alcohol & drug testing
Ability to remain safety centred in a high workload environment
Professional attitude with regards to proper care and maintenance of equipment
Ability to work self-directed and closely with a team
The right to live and work in Australia
Desirable requirements or willingness to obtain:
Fixed wing instrument rating and experience
50hrs fire experience (fixed wing)
HR drivers’ licence
Sound mechanical knowledge
Forklift licence
