This is a permanent part-time opportunity for someone passionate about the fast-paced world of aviation and logistics.

This position is contracted for a minimum of 25 hours per week - mostly evenings and weekend work.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee Cargo Operations: Manage the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring safety and efficiency.

  • Coordinate Ramp Activities: Serve as a representative for Tasman Cargo Airlines, ensuring smooth ramp operations.

  • Maintain Flight Balance: Manage weight distribution for aircraft balance during loading and flight.

  • Communication Hub: Act as the liaison between the Operations Coordination Centre, contracted ground handling teams, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication during operational disruptions.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all customs and regulatory requirements are met.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 12 months experience in airline ground operations or a similar role

  • A valid Australian Driver’s License (without restrictions)

  • Knowledge of cargo aircraft loading and ramp procedures.

  • Familiarity with airport operations and a strong understanding of MS Word and Excel

  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

  • Collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt in a time-critical environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience with SABLE or similar systems is a bonus, but we’ll train you to succeed.

  • Familiarity with DHL Express or air cargo/freight operations.

This position will be required to attend the aircraft, the successful candidate must have the ability to travel internationally, obtain ASIC access, and meet local airport vaccination, security and other requirements as necessary.
