Sydney Flight College

About

SFC began in 1969 when a small group of local aviation enthusiasts gathered to discuss the idea of starting a flying club. Their dream was to create a community that would promote and support aviation, providing a space for like-minded people to come together and share their passion for flying. Over the years, our club has grown in size and reputation, becoming the largest aviation club on the eastern seaboard.

Today, SFC is a well-respected flight training organisation that is shaping the next generation of pilots in Sydney and regional NSW, while still remaining true to its roots as a club at its core.

At Australian Helicopter Pilot School, we believe the quality of the flight training we provide our students is a direct result of our highly-experienced instructors, extensive fleet and the safe, relaxed environment at each of our training schools. Our pilot training began in 1976, with the opening of Heliflite Training School. We launched Bankstown Helicopters in 1982 and Central West Helicopters in 2008, before welcoming Queensland’s Redcliffe Helicopter School to the network in 2011. In 2012, we created an umbrella organisation to manage our growing network of flight training schools.
